The aim of the DTC challenges is to involve all children and adults of all ages, sporting backgrounds and abilities to participate in a range of athletic challenges. The challenges will be virtual for the preliminary rounds during the month of May with the aim to create real physical events in the Summer. The initial stages are primarily to promote athletics among the community and create focus and fun over the coming months.
WHO CAN TAKE PART
anyone can take part from beginner to seasoned runners. We have events and distances for all ages.
HOW DO I ENTER
you can enter as an indivudual or as a group with some fantastic value for money if you are entering your club or group. Ther are unlimited numbers of participants allowed to take part as one group entry.
GROUP ENTRIES
- When entering as a group you only need to name the club and pay for the group.
- When entering results you can the add the results of your athletes. The group leader can add results for their athletes or the individual can add their own results and list their club to enable them to score on the team.

See how you compete over 3k. Add results up to Sunday 6thth of June. Open to all runners, clubs and ages.Can be run on track or Road. Teams 3 to score Male and Female.Top Teams and athletes will be invited to a Real Race off with €000's of cash prizes to be won. The venue, location and date will be confirmed in early June. Monthly 60 SEC TIME TRIAL
How far can you run in 60 seconds?See how far you can run in 1 minute. Submit your best distance. This will last all summer. Gauge your fitness level and see your distance covered for 60 sec improve over the Summer months Age cats U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U20, SENIOR & MASTER AGE CATS
PRIMARY SCHOOLS 1K CLASS AVERAGE
Get the whole class involved!Time the class and calculate the average time to run 1km (1,000m). You can try this as many times as you want and submit your best average. The schools cahllenges will last until June 23rd.
REAL RACE EVENTS
Once we reach June we hope to create some real track events. Winners of the virtual 3,000m and 2k walk will be invited to a Real Race off event.
PRIZE FUNDS
the prize funds will be dependent on enrtires from registrations. To start off the 3,000 Real Race off final will have €500 for the first Male and Female with a further €500 for the top male and female teams.
